Chris believes that Virtual and Augmented Reality technologies will profoundly disrupt the way in which humans learn, play, work and socialize. "With modern consumer XR hardware, our consciousness can experience 'presence' within shared digital realities, free from the physical restraints and proximity requirements of the real world, in which any experience becomes possible. The implications for shared experiences via extended realities will impact nearly every facet of our lives."
 

A graduate from University of Utah in Behavioral Science, Chris spent 20 years working in residential treatment programming and pioneered Teneo, a highly successful in-home assessment and treatment program. Experiencing the potential of social presence afforded by VR for the first time in 2013 completely changed his career trajectory at which time he jumped with both feet into the global VR developer community to prepare for the impact immersive technologies will have on society. 
 

Ranked by Onalytica as a Top 100 influencer in both AR and VR, Chris keeps a close pulse on the social, educational, artistic and entertainment spaces of the VR, AR, XR movement. Chris believes every social anthropologist should be grabbing a front row seat to watch how these technologies will change the way we teach, learn and communicate

 

Chris has held a variety of roles including Social VR Liaison for leading Virtual Reality tech blog, Road to VR, co-founder of Utah VR and Silicon Slopes AR/VR chapter, Ambassador for Edge of Discovery, Siggraph judge and Director of AR/VR at Morph 3D developing avatar technology including a partnership with HTC Vive to build the Ready Player One Avatar Creator. 

 

Currently, Chris works with Immersive VR Education in  bringing virtual collaboration, communication, training and education solutions to partners across North America via the ENGAGE platform.
