Looi joined Oxford VR in September 2018 as Partnerships Director to lead the company’s international partnerships development. Her work led to the first partnership launches in the US and Asia in early 2019, contributing towards the success of Series A in February 2020.
Looi is a Chartered Psychologist with 10 years of experience in Neuroscience, Psychology, and Technology, and a DPhil (PhD) in Experimental Psychology from Oxford University. She has some of the most extensive experience in bringing a range of evidence-based cognitive technologies including neuromodulation devices, apps and VR from the lab to real-world settings through multi-sector partnerships in Europe, US and Asia.
Prior to Oxford VR, she led the development of digital therapeutics for mental health from research to commercial partnerships at Cambridge Cognition, a Cambridge University spinout. She built bridges between academia and industry as Scientific Advisor at the Blavatnik School of Government, Co-Founder of Psychology and Neuroscience Applications Society, and Fellow of Leading for Impact at the Saïd Business School, Oxford.
